Downtown, MMA Pacific Street is particularly strong in California contemporary art and modern landscape painters and photographers, including Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. Southeast of downtown, MMA La Mirada, a silent-film star’s villa, has humble adobe origins that are exquisitely concealed.
