　　Founded by Joseph Bonaparte between 1807 and 1819, these botanical gardens belong to the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Dedicated botanists will be impressed with its collection of over 1000 plant species, hailing from all corners of the globe. Highlights include an arboreal fern gully (the perfect antidote to a hot summer's day), as well as a notable collection of medicinal plants.
