Any vacation should be hassle free, and worry free. Like every other part of your cruise with us, we make it easy to relax and do nothing but look forward to a great vacation. We know travel plans can be disrupted by the unforeseen, so we are pleased to offer BookSafe Travel Protection.

You're covered for trip cancellation, trip interruption and trip delay.

BookSafe provides reimbursement for the prepaid, non-refundable, unused portion of your vacation should you need to cancel or interrupt your vacation due to unexpected illness, injury, job termination and other covered reasons as listed in the plan. The plan also covers additional out-of-pocket expenses for meals and accommodation, as well as for travel expenses to catch up to the vacation due to covered travel delays.

Best of all, if your reason for cancellation is not covered for reimbursement under the plan, we provide you with a credit for a future cruise.

To reserve your cabin and lock in the final price, you will be required to place a deposit on your cruise. After you have placed a deposit to secure your reservation, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance of your fare at the final payment due date.

Cancellation and Refunds

Penalties may apply if you cancel or change your reservation. Penalties can be up to 100% of the amount paid, and deposits are often non-refundable. We recommend purchasing insurance to protect against covered unexpected events. Please check with your Vacations To Go cruise counselor for cancellation and refund policies for Norwegian cruises.

Norwegian is famous for Freestyle Cruising, which offers passengers the freedom to choose a new restaurant, dining time and dining companions each night. With food choices ranging from French, Italian, Continental, to Spanish Tapas, Hawaiian, Asian Fusion and Sushi, passengers can choose a different type of cuisine each night!

Main Dining Room Policies: Guests can request to dine at the same assigned table at the same time for the length of the cruise, or they can enjoy the variety of dining at a different table every evening. Reservations are required when dining in NCL's specialty restaurants and can be made on board. A flat surcharge is required for specialty dining restaurants, or menu items are priced à la carte. Main dining rooms are open from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. Guests must be seated by 9:30 p.m.

Dress Code: Dress is casual. Appropriate attire for men is close-toed shoes, slacks and a collared shirt, while women are advised to wear slacks and blouse, a sundress or a pantsuit. Nice jeans may be worn to dinner in all restaurants, including the main dining room. Tank tops for men, flip flops, baseball caps, visors and jeans that are overly faded, with holes or tears and worn below the hips are not permitted in main dining rooms or specialty restaurants.

Beverage Policy: Alcohol/wine/beer and soft drinks and juices are extra. Soft drink cards are available for purchase on board.

Special Requests: Special meals are available including low-calorie, vegetarian, gluten-free, and low/no sodium meals, as well as sugar-free and fat-free desserts. Kosher meals are available on all ships and itineraries and should be requested at the time of booking, and no later than 30 days prior to sailing.

All dining rooms onboard Norwegian ships are smoke-free.

Public areas throughout all our ships are smoke-free. If you smoke regular or electronic cigarettes, you can do so in designated areas only. If you prefer cigars, you can smoke in the designated smoking lounge. Smoking cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and pipes is permitted in outdoor public guest spaces and open decks where designated by the ship's management based on the ship's specific characteristics and arrangement. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited in or near venues serving food, the jogging track, outdoor sporting venues, children's pool areas, Vibe Beach Club, Posh Beach Club or The Waterfront. Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore have a dsignated smoking room within the Casino. On all other ships, active Casino players may smoke cigarettes in the Casino during gaming hours.

Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars or pipes in their staterooms or on their balconies. Cigar and pipe smoking in staterooms and on balconies is prohibited. Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 cleaning charge added to your onboard account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels or carpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages. Guests in the Garden Villas may smoke in their private garden and on their private sun decks.
