Atka Island, with a population of less than 200, is part of the Aleutian Islands chain in Alaska. On the northeast side of the island, the Korovin volcano peaks at 5030 feet, the tallest point on the island. A crashed B-24 Liberator can be found on the island as one of 9 sites that make up the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument.
