Located inland near the picturesque Brindabella Ranges, the city of Canberra is divided in two by Lake Burley Griffin, an artificial lake named after the city's American designer. Canberra is home to numerous popular music and theater venues, as well as the National Gallery, the National Library, and the Australian War Memorial.
