Kangaamiut, Greenland

Located on the south coast of Timerdlit Island facing the Davis Strait, the tiny community of Kangaamiut sits between the mouths of two long fjords: Kangerlussuatsiaq Fjord (or Evighedsfjorden in Danish) and Kangaamiut Kangerluarsuat Fjord. Founded in 1755, it was called "Sugarloaf" (Sukkertoppen) after the appearance of several hills nearby.
