Head out this weekend for a unique art installation titled "Mad Stories" at South City Mall in Kolkata. This event is by Anjali, a non-profit organisation focused on mental health and human rights within state mental health establishments and semi-rural communities. According to the organisers, "Mad Stories" is not a campaign designed to elicit pity. Instead, it represents a deliberate act of compassionate listening. Illness and madness are not issues that need to be fixed; rather, they are vital forms of resistance against systems that thrive on silence and obedience. Anjali has chosen to showcase these fragile yet powerful human stories right in the heart of the city's busiest mall. Amid food courts, fast fashion, and weekend leisure activities, the voices of madness stand strong.
