With rewards points worth 2.3 cents apiece, it’s a program worth investing in, regardless of whether you’re a domestic traveler or a globetrotter. If you need a few tips and tricks on how to quickly earn these valuable points, we’ve got you covered.

Here are the 11 best ways to earn World of Hyatt points:

1. Earn points through Hyatt stays

Every World of Hyatt member earns 5 base points per $1 spent on eligible rates. To earn points on a qualified eligible rate, you must book a room rate published by Hyatt and not one booked through a third-party travel booking agency. You can also earn points on dining, spa experiences and other amenities billed to the hotel.

Points earning applies not just to Hyatt's 1,000+ hotels spread across more than a dozen Hyatt brands (including luxury brands Andaz and Alila), but also participating Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties (more on those later).

2. Flex your Hyatt elite status to earn points at an even higher rate

When you hold Hyatt elite status, you'll earn points at a faster rate than everyone else. Here are the

3. Use the World of Hyatt Credit Card

To quickly gain elite status and earn points even more rapidly, you may want to consider applying for the World of Hyatt Credit Card. Cardholders not only get automatic Discoverist status, they also receive 5 qualifying night credits toward the next status level every year. Plus, you can earn two qualifying nights for every $5,000 spent.

In exchange for a $95 annual fee, this card provides an annual free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel.

On top of the elite status and free night, which are easily worth more than the cost of the annual fee, cardholders also receive points for their spending, broken down by various categories. Those are:

4 bonus points per $1 spent at Hyatt hotels.

2 points per $1 spent at restaurants, on direct airline ticket purchases, local transit, commuting and gym memberships.

All other purchases earn 1 point per $1 spent.

New cardholders will appreciate the card’s welcome bonus: Earn 30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening. If you book FIND experiences in the U.S. and Mexico, you'll earn 10 points per $1 spent. FIND opportunities range from private tequila tastings at $59 per person to surfing with a renowned executive chef for $3,500 a person. FIND can be a quick way to earn points for unique travel experiences.

5. Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards® points

Those with Chase Ultimate Rewards® will appreciate the ability to transfer their points from Chase to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. Transferring is easy and instant. Just select “Transfer to Travel Partners” in the Chase Ultimate Rewards® portal:

Since we value World of Hyatt points at 2.3 cents each and Chase Ultimate Rewards® points range from 1-1.5 cents in redemption value through the Ultimate Rewards® travel portal, transferring points from Ultimate Rewards® to World of Hyatt could give you more bang for your buck. But that really depends on how you redeem your points and what the paid rate of a particular hotel is.

6. Stay at a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property

Hyatt has an exclusive partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which is a collection of independent boutique hotels that you can book around the world. These properties tend to have luxurious amenities and offer unique experiences for guests (like taking a balloon safari over the African plains, or sleeping in a historic European palace).

When you stay at an SLH property as a World of Hyatt member, you'll earn 5 Base Points per eligible $1 spent. That's on top of other benefits like complimentary continental breakfast for two, early check-in, late check-out and space available room upgrades.

7. Fly on American Airlines (elite members only)

World of Hyatt and American Airline’s AAdvantage program have teamed up, allowing reciprocal benefits for elite status members. For Hyatt elite members, that means earning 1 Hyatt point per $1 spent on American Airlines flights. These points are earned in addition to the normal miles earned through American, effectively double-dipping your rewards.

8. Take a Lindblad Expedition

Hyatt has partnered with the adventure travel company Lindblad Expeditions, offering exclusive benefits to members including 5 Hyatt points per $1 spent. Nights spent on Lindblad’s high-end cruises also count toward elite status, and Hyatt points can be used to book the expeditions, as well.

Given that these trips can cost tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, this is an “easy” way to rack up a boatload of Hyatt points.

9. Rent a car through Avis

World of Hyatt and Avis have a partnership that lets you earn 500 Hyatt points per car rental. To get the points, you have to:
