Sin City sets the standard for raucous debauchery twelve months a year. But once spring hits, Vegas's scene gets even hotter with sizzling poolside parties. Some of our favorite "waterfront" hotspots are opening this coming weekend with over-the-top parties, and others have been in full swing for months now. So if you're ready to dive into booze-fueled and bikini-studded daytime fiestas -- or are at least curious enough to dip a toe -- here are the seven hottest Las Vegas pool parties happening every weekend for the rest of the spring and summer. (And no, it is not a coincidence that we picked seven sinful spots).
This Saturday, the Venetian’s TAO Beach Club reopens with a wild pool party hosted by Jason Derulo. The singer will perform multiple hits at the pool’s modified space, which features a larger stage and more spots for being able to get a good view of the performance. DJ Eric D-Lux will also help keep the beats pumpin’. Entry is $30/person (although, typical for Vegas, women get a $10 discount) but those who really want to live it up can rent one of the pool’s luxe cabanas, which comes complete with massive TVs with DVD libraries, minibars, and butler service that includes personal body misters, sunglass cleaners, and food and drink service.
The Luxor’s pool may be quiet at night, but once the sun comes up its a whole other scene. Considered by many to be the best LGBT party in Vegas, Temptation Sunday reopens for its weekly schedule on May 18 with host J.Son and tons of freshly spun beats by world-renowned DJs. Like at Tao, guests can buy general admission tickets or opt to rent cabanas with fully-stocked fridges, flat-screen TVs, rafts, bowls of fruit, and newspapers (hey, you never know). Daybeds — with towel service, rafts, and bottles of water — are slightly less expensive but also grant you a bit of VIP status.
Though the DayDream Pool Club at M Resort, actually located 10 miles from the Strip in Henderson, officially opens on Saturday, April 26, the grand reopening kicks off on Saturday, May 3. Generally the festivities begin at 11 a.m., but that Saturday things start heating up as early as 10 a.m. Typical weekend events at DayDream include bikini contests and themed swim nights (on the schedule this year: neon, Latin, and 80s, just to name a few).
One of the most infamous pool parties in the world, let alone Las Vegas, Sunday Rehab is now just “Rehab” as you can practice a little “hair of the dog” on both Saturdays and Sundays at the Hard Rock this year. This upcoming weekend, Aloe Blaac takes the stage on Saturday and The Wanted follows on Sunday. Kendrick Lamar is scheduled for May 3. Prices vary based on the popularity of the performer, but women’s tickets are always slightly cheaper — and guests can always go all out by booking one of the 50 cabanas, where loungers can order from extensive food, beverage, and spa menus. Starting in June, the pool party also hosts weekly “bikini invitationals.”
By night, Marquee is a water-free nightclub that’s one of the hottest spots on the Strip. But by night, the “dayclub” takes over with its two pools, several bars, and numerous game tables. Tons of performers are scheduled throughout the summer, and Kaskade will be making repeat appearance. Part of the Cosmopolitan, one of the newest and most luxurious properties on the Strip, the pool is surrounded by uber-luxe cabanas, each with personal dipping pools, TVs, and of course, attentive service.
The Encore’s European Pool (pictured above) may be tranquil, but the Beach Club is a totally different scene, where an epic pool party — boasting top-notch performers — rages on every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This weekend, Redfoo is performing — next weekend Deadmau5 takes the stage. The massive 60,000-square-foot space, surrounded by palm trees, has plenty of cabanas and bungalows, as well as its own gaming pavilion.
This weekend, both Tiesto and Calvin Harris will take the stage at the wildly popular Wet Republic pool party at the MGM Grand, which debuts a larger space and bigger DJ booth this year. Watch the shows from uber-luxe bungalows, which feature private whirlpools, flat-screen TVs, misting systems, and bottle service. The menu also includes refreshing snacks such as frozen grapes.
