Beware: The Spookiest, Halloween-iest Hotels
Beware: The Spookiest, Halloween-iest Hotels-September 2024
Sep 8, 2024 12:46 AM

Halloween is the most sinful time of the year: it's all about dressing up, indulging your sweet tooth, and attending outrageous (and sometimes spooky) late-night soirees. Whether you'll be in balmy Miami or the Windy City for the festivities, there's a hotel that's celebrating Halloween in style. Check out our favorite spots for devilish partying from coast to coast below.

Lobby at the Liberty Hotel

, Boston

A hotel in a prison? Yeah, that seems appropriate for Halloween. Occupying a former jail, the Liberty Hotel hosts an annual Halloween party. This year, the fete is circus-themed and will have circus-inspired cocktails as well as circus performers. While anyone can attend the soiree (as long as they’re in costume, of course), guests of the hotel can opt for the Halloween package which includes two tickets to the party, free parking, and free breakfast.

Lobby at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

, Los Angeles

The Roosevelt is a place to see and be seen and Halloween is no different. This year, the hotel is throwing an exclusive (read: expensive) party with numerous performers. The EC Twins will be headlining with their electronic beats and DJs Mei Lwun and Adam Nello will be making appearances as well. And it’s only fitting that the Roosevelt is supposedly haunted — by the ghosts of Marilyn Monroe and Montgomery Clift, no less.

Deluxe King River View Room at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago

Though it’s not throwing a party, the ultra-luxe Trump hotel in Chicago is offering a pretty sweet deal for Halloween. The “Room with a Boo” package includes a one night stay at the hotel, free breakfast for two, s’mores upon check-in, one Halloween tempura roll, and two Dra-Kahula drinks at the bar. Gotta love that word play.

Aspen Social Club at Stay

, New York City

Half a block from Times Square, Stay is home to the popular Aspen Social Club — this year’s “Lodge of Horror.” For just ten bucks, Halloween revelers get party favors, a one-hour vodka open bar, and access to one of the hippest parties in the city. And dress to impress; the best costumes will receive prizes. Parties with similar perks are also taking place at the Gansevoort Park Avenue and The Carlton Hotel.

Loews Miami Beach Hotel

, Miami

The Loews Miami Beach, along with other Loews hotels, is offering up a “Spooky Suite” bedecked in Halloween decorations. The spooky package includes a bag of treats, a “ghoulish” welcome amenity, and the best part — your own Costume Concierge who will help you win the title of “Best Dressed” this Halloween.

207 bar at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

, San Diego

The 420-room Hard Rock, located in the hip Gaslamp Quarter, hosts wild parties on weekends at its popular rooftop pool bar. It’s a haven for twenty- and thirty-somethings (including celebrities), and this Halloween it’s throwing a tri-level bash that’ll last til the wee hours of the morning. Guests who book the Halloween package score two VIP tickets to the party — a nice perk at an event that will certainly be packed.

Premier Room at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills

, Los Angeles

The Philippe Starck-designed SLS Hotel is delivering a glamorous Halloween package that doesn’t overlook any details. Not only does it include free cocktails and a shuttle service to the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval, complete with live performances and special features, but it also provides a make up removal kit and a free foot massage at the spa to aid in your recovery/detox process.

The Living Room at the Glenn Hotel, Autograph Collection

, Atlanta

The Glenn Hotel always hosts a rip-roaring Halloween bash and this year is no different. The Haunted Hotel 2k9 Party, spread over three floors including the hip rooftop, is sure to include spooky surprises for the crowds of costume-clad revelers who show up year after year.
