Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino
Spice up your vacation with a little adventure. These hotels have unique activities that will get your heart and give you the adrenaline fix you crave. From wild rides to death-defying dives, these attractions aren’t for the faint-at-heart.
Atlantis Paradise Island Resort
The Atlantis Paradise Island Resort has one of the best water parks in the world, helped along by some pretty awesome waterslides. The Leap of Faith starts at the top of a Mayan temple replica with a 60-foot drop. As if that’s not scary enough, riders pass through a shark-filled tank before reaching the bottom. Be sure to check out the seven other water slides throughout the park if that doesn’t satisfy your adrenaline needs.
New York New York Hotel & Casino
Take a ride on the New York City themed rollercoaster at the New York New York Hotel & Casino, especially if speeds of 67 miles per hour, 190-degree turns, and 144-foot drops are your thing. If being turned around and twisted upside-down brings out your inner romantic, have the wedding of your dreams aboard the coaster. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace Resort
Guests at the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace Resort can soar through the air with a free trapeze lesson. Actual circus performers teach guests how to hang upside-down by their knees while swinging 25 feet the air. It takes courage to learn the trapeze, but the super muscular staffers and security wires will put you right at ease.
Allegro Puerto Plata
One of the most unique adrenaline pumping activities on our list is the high-ropes course at the Allegro Puerto Plata. Instructors harness guests in and hoist them high into the air where they swing back and forth. But beware — this activity is definitely not for everyone (especially this kid).
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino has a 1.3 million gallon tank filled with more than 30 sharks and other marine animals. Adrenaline junkies who aren’t content simply looking at these creatures can actually scuba dive in the aquarium. The downside? Guests must already be a certified diver, but with the Sandtiger, Sandbar, and White Tip Reef sharks they could encounter (not to mention sawfish and stingrays), it’s probably for the best.
Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino
While we’re on the topic of death by shark attack, check out the smaller, but still impressive, 200,000-gallon shark tank at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. Although you can’t go for a dip in this tank, guests can take a ride on the three-story waterslide, which includes a clear tube that goes right through the aquarium.
