Las Vegas is known worldwide for its anything goes mentality and party atmosphere, so naturally when Halloween rolls around, the biggest party holiday of the year, Vegas is the place to be. If you think you’re up for the task, here are some Vegas Halloween happenings that won’t be a trick, but a treat, for everyone involved.
Nightclubs at The Palms
Big prize costume parties are a fairly common occurrence around Halloween, but Vegas takes the stakes even higher. On Saturday, October 30, The Palms is sponsoring NIGHT OF THE KILLER COSTUMES. Between their four nightclubs (Playboy Club, Moon, Ghostbar, and Rain) there will be a different contest at each totaling $100,000 in prize money to be had by the top 3 Sexiest Costumes, Best Sc-Fi Costumes, Best Undead Costumes, and Best Costumes Ever! If you are looking for more than one shot at a big costume score or just a week long Halloween celebration, the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at Wynn are sponsoring different costume events and parties at their nightclubs Blush, Surrender, Tryst, and XS every night from Tuesday October 26th-November 1st.
Fright Dome has ranked among the top five scariest haunted attraction in the United States two years in a row, and this year it might even be scarier. The Fright Dome takes over The Adventuredome at Circus Circus beginning on Friday, October 1st and is open from 7 p.m.-midnight. If you are looking for a truly scary attraction or have the urge to scream, this is the place for you.
The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
Shark Reef Aquarium, Mandalay Bay’s in-house aquarium, will turn into an the Haunted Reef all day on Saturday October 30th. The resident sharks and Komodo dragons of the exhibit will be highlighted and the normal aquarium feel will be replaced by that of a haunted house. Costumed kids under 12 will get in free and also get free candy!
The Luxor brings you this interesting yet scary exhibit of artifacts from the famous ship, the Titanic. They say the exhibit has people questioning if passengers who were once lost at sea have returned to personal items they once carried aboard the famed ship. Costumed Titanic experts who have seen and heard it all will be giving haunted tours of the exhibit on October 29, 30 and 31 at 8 p.m. This event should prove to be informative and spooky!
Based off of legendary New York City nightclub Studio 54, the MGM’s version will change its club atmosphere into a more Halloween themed event for its legendary 13th annual Halloween celebration beginning Thursday Oct. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 31. Included in the festivities will be sexy spider girls swinging around on the aerial spider webs, a bewitching temptress and her pet serpent, recreated scenes from Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and performances/appearances by Doug E. Fresh, Vanilla Ice, and Holly Madison.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Named “One of the top 10 events in the world” by Travel Channel and “One of the five events to attend before you die” by Maxim Magazine, the Hard Rock’s Fetish & Fantasy Ball is a true all out no holds barred party. Last year the event sold out and had 6200+ people so this year should be no different. If you want to see how crazy a Vegas Halloween party can get, this is for you. The event will be held on Saturday, October 30 from 10PM-4AM.
