Cancellation Fee Waiver (Non-insurance features provided by Princess Cruises

Life is unpredictable… but you can rely on Princess Vacation Protection. If you need to cancel for specified reasons outlined in the Cancellation Fee Waiver section of the plan, you’ll receive a refund of your cancellation fees. If you need to cancel for any reason not listed in the plan, under the “Any Reason” Cancellation Enhancement feature, you’ll receive 75% of the cancellation fee amount in the form of future cruise credits under our Standard plan and 100% under the Platinum plan.

Trip Interruptions

If you need to interrupt your trip due to a covered reason such as an illness or injury, you are eligible for reimbursement of prepaid cruise/land arrangements made through Princess and/or the cost of one-way airfare to get you home.

Medical Evacuation

Princess Vacation Protection also provides coverage in case your medical condition requires emergency evacuation to an appropriate medical facility.

Medical Expenses

Most medical expenses are covered in case you become sick or injured during your trip.

You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. To reserve your cabin and lock in the final price, you will be required to place a deposit on your cruise. After you have placed a deposit to secure your reservation, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance of your fare at the final payment due date.

Cancellation and Refunds

Penalties may apply if you cancel or change your reservation. Penalties can be up to 100% of your total trip cost. We recommend purchasing insurance to protect against covered unexpected events. Princess offers passengers flexibility as well as award-winning cuisine with its Anytime Dining program, which gives passengers the freedom to choose a new restaurant and dining time each night. Enjoy traditional cruise ship dining at one of the magnificent main dining halls, or opt for the casual atmosphere of one of the many cafés and pizzerias. For a truly memorable experience, try one of the elegant upscale restaurants, or choose to dine in the privacy of your own cabin with Princess' 24-hour room service.

Main Dining Room Policies: Princess guests are assigned to one of three seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal: early (4:45 p.m.), first seating (5:00 p.m.) and second seating (7:15 p.m.). Early seating is not offered on Pacific Princess. Seating times can vary by ship or itinerary. There is also open seating available called "Anytime Dining", which goes from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. You do not need to reserve seating for Anytime Dining, but reservations are available upon request.

Dress Code: With the exception of formal nights, the dress code is smart casual. Appropriate attire includes skirts, dresses, slacks and sweaters or blouses for ladies and long pants, shirts with collars and/or a sports jacket for men. Nice jeans (no holes, tears or frays) are also acceptable on Smart Casual evenings. On formal nights, typical black-tie formal wear is appropriate. Items include evening gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies; and tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with a tie for men. Items such as t-shirts, halter tops and torn jeans are not permitted and shoes must be worn at all times.

Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea, coffee and water are at an additional cost. Juice is included with breakfast. Soft drink cards, good for unlimited soft drinks, are available for purchase onboard.

Special Requests: Special meals are available, including low-sodium, low-fat, low-sugar and vegetarian meals, as well as sugar-free and fat-free desserts. Kosher meals are available on all ships and itineraries. Special dietary equests must be received no later than 35 days prior to departure for cruises to Alaska, Canada/New England, Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, Panama Canal and Coastal Getaways. For all other cruises, requests must be received no later than 65 days prior to departure.

All dining rooms on board Princess ships are smoke-free.

Clearly marked “Designated Smoking Areas” are available on board and include a sufficient number of ashtrays that are emptied regularly. Generally, these areas include cigar lounges, a section of the nightclub, as well as a portion of the open decks. The Casino and Casino Bar are non-smoking areas on board, with the exception of designated slot machines where guests are permitted to smoke only while playing at those machines. All table games are non-smoking. The Casino will also have one or more non-smoking nights (6 pm to closing), depending on length of voyage. Show lounges, dining rooms and all food services areas on board all Princess ships are non-smoking. As a safety precaution, guests are reminded to properly dispose of cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco, which are never to be thrown overboard as this may be sucked back into the ship and cause fires.

Princess Cruises prohibits smoking or vaping of all types, including e-cigarettes, in guest staterooms and balconies. Violations to this policy will result in a $250 fine for each occurrence, which will be charged to the guest’s stateroom account.
