Sometimes referred to as Bird Island, Aride is one of the most important seabird habitats found in the Indian Ocean. The island is home to more breeding species than any other location in Seychelles with eighteen native species. Due to the small size of the island and the huge population of birds, the only humans to call Aride home are rangers, conservation officers, and a few volunteers. Bird enthusiasts should be sure to find many photo opportunities during a visit to the island.
