The full list of street closures and parking restrictions for the Labor Day Concert 2024-October 2024

  Hopefully you already have plans for Labor Day travel (weve got inspo for last-minute Labor Day weekend getaways if you dont), but if youre in Washington, D.C. you can enjoy the annual National Symphony Orchestra Labor Day weekend concert at the U.S. Capitol. The free event is a fun time, but brings with it the hassle of street closures and parking restrictions. Heres what you need to know, according to the D.C. Capitol Police.

  Road closures for the Labor Day Concert Temporary street closures and parking restrictions will begin at 8pm on Friday, August 30, and will last through Monday, September 2, at 4am at these locations:

  First Street, between Constitution Avenue, NW, and Independence Avenue, SW Maryland Avenue, between First Street, SW, and 3rd Street, SW Pennsylvania Avenue, between First Street, NW, and 3rd Street, NW Parking restrictions There is no public parking in the immediate area of the U.S. Capitol. Use of public transportation is highly recommended.

  Limited parking on a first come, first serve basis will be available to mobility-impaired concert-goers from Sunday, September 1, between 3pm and 11pm at the these locations:

  Both sides of Louisiana Avenue between Constitution Avenue, NW, and First Street, NW, and Both sides of First Street between Constitution Avenue, NW, and Louisiana Avenue, NW
