Chase is giving travelers an extra incentive to sign up for the Chase Sapphire Reserve® card. Through a new partnership with the hospitality company sbe, cardholders will now get VIP benefits at select hotels across the globe.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® comes with a $550 annual fee, but this new perk might be enough to get you to consider signing up. Here's everything you need to know.
The partnership between sbe and Chase means Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardmembers now get the following benefits at participating locations:
A free fourth night with every four straight nights booked.
$30 credit per room for use on food and beverages.
Free room upgrades and late checkout when available.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two people.
Complimentary Wi-Fi.
Chase Sapphire cardholders (that means Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders, too) also get access to various sbe events tied to music, arts and food.
All Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders have to do is pick their hotel through the Chase/sbe site, then use the card to book the stay. Once at the selected hotel, members need to present the card at check-in and then use it to pay the full bill at checkout. That's all there is to it.
Nineteen of sbe’s hotel properties are participating in this partnership. And if you're hoping to head to Miami, you're in luck: there are nine sbe hotels in the area.
Here are all participating hotels, sorted by location:
Bahamas: SLS Baha Mar.
Doha: Mondrian Doha.
Istanbul: 10 Karoköy.
Las Vegas: Delano Las Vegas.
London: Sanderson and St Martins Lane.
Los Angeles: Mondrian Los Angeles.
Miami: Delano South Beach, Hyde Midtown, Mondrian South Beach, Redbury South Beach, Shore Club, SLS Brickell, SLS LUX Brickell, SLS South Beach and The Raleigh.
New York City: Hudson, Mondrian Park Avenue and Redbury New York.
This partnership from Chase was likely made to present the Chase Sapphire Reserve® card as more of a challenger to The Platinum Card® from American Express. Both cards are targeted toward high-spending travelers, and much like this sbe deal, cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express who book through the Fine Hotels and Resorts site get special benefits at luxury hotels.
The Chase/sbe partnership is designed to give consumers a deal on stays at the select properties, but that does not mean booking through the Chase/sbe site will always be the cheapest option. As with anything, it's always smart to shop around for the best prices before booking a hotel.
