The Internet has been abuzz this week with the prospect of the upcoming Kimye nuptials, supposedly taking place in Paris this weekend. Rumors have been swirling as to the locale of the grand event, with guesses of everywhere from Versailles (Kim shot this rumor down) to (still a possibility, so we hear). But it got us thinking not so much about the famous couple’s preferences for where to stay and where to wed, but those of their daughter, North West. She’s just along for the ultra-luxurious ride, but she must have a few favorite spots from her travels around the world. And if we’re talking about North West, we can’t leave out celebrity spawn such as Blue Ivy, Suri Cruise, and more. Here are the luxe hotels where celebrity tots have stayed.
Since this article’s publication, Kim and Kanye wed in a lavish ceremony in Italy before jetting off to Ireland for their honeymoon.
It’s highly likely that North West loves the Mercer; after all, it’s where she stayed during one of her first mommy-and-me trips to NYC, and it’s just a short walk from the SoHo outpost of Dash, the boutique clothing store owned by the Kardashian clan. The hotel’s 75 loft-style guest rooms, beautiful staff, stylish lobby/lounge, personalized service, and swanky location make it a go-to choice for other celebs as well.
The first of the new generation of Kardashian tots, Mason Disick (Kourtney’s son with boyfriend Scott) has put in plenty of time in hotels as well. He even lived in the Gansevoort Park Avenue for several months while Kourtney and Kim Take New York was being filmed. This 249-room hotel with flashy decor, an outdoor pool, and lots of bars is the uptown sister to the original Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC, also frequented by the Kardashians.
Also filmed for a Kardashian show (after all, what isn’t?!), the family took Mason on a trip to the Dominican Republic. And since only the best will do, they stayed in a villa at the gorgeous Casa de Campo. The hotel is part of a massive, 7,000-acre resort community that includes three world-renowned golf courses, an immaculate beach, a marina, the quaint “town” of Altos de Chavon, and numerous other on-site activities.
Though she didn’t stay at the luxe Los Angeles hotel, we know Blue Ivy must have loved it — after all, Jay Z and Beyonce’s little cutie celebrated Easter there last month. The fam chowed down on brunch at the hotel’s Polo Lounge before enjoying an Easter egg hunt, complete with a visit from the Easter bunny. We’re not surprised mom and dad picked this spot; with 12 acres of lush grounds, this historic hotel is a serene, luxurious escape five minutes from Rodeo Drive.
Suri Cruise now lives in a Chelsea apartment with mom Katie Holmes, but when news of the divorce first broke, she reunited with her dad at The Greenwich Hotel while tons of paparazzi swarmed outside. The virtually flawless 88-room TriBeCa hotel (opened in 2008 by Robert de Niro, among others) offers large, homey rooms, breathtaking design, and very attentive service.
During perhaps happier times, Suri Cruise has dined with her pair of parents at The Plaza. And considering the hotel’s elegant spaces — as well as it’s signature Eloise suite — we’re sure she loved it. The century-old, 282-room Plaza is a New York landmark, as is little Cruise.
The Beckham brood continues to grow — and so must the size of the suites they stay in! Recently, the Beckhams were in town in NYC and stayed at The Mark, which brings a hip vibe to the elegant — but sometimes stuffy — Upper East Side. The hotel’s stunning interiors (by France’s premier designer) are colorful and bold rather than gilded and stuffy, and there’s a restaurant and bar from one of New York’s most famous chefs.
