The rise of Indian single malts has given rise to a new generation of whisky enthusiasts. Select Indian whisky brands have been creating a buzz at home and abroad. Previously, trips outside India meant a mandatory duty-free whisky run, but now you can get great quality right at your doorstep. Here are some Indian single malt whiskeys native to India, which make amazing gifts and will pique people's curiosity.

  Godawan 100

The Godawan 100, a Collector’s Edition artisanal single malt, was awarded the title of 'World’s Best Single Malt' at the 2024 London Spirits Competition (LSC). This global event, held in the UK, evaluates spirits based on three main criteria: quality, value, and packaging. The Godawan 100 stood out among spirits from 80 countries, including Australia, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. With only 100 bottles available, this is the first artisanal single malt whisky from Rajasthan. More about it here.
