It happens all the time, every day. But we find that we're called out most often for mispronouncing words when we're traveling -- and it's no wonder! Encountering new languages and new things makes for plenty of new opportunities to call something by the wrong name.

It's an innocent enough mistake, but locals really appreciate it when tourists take the time to learn the correct pronunciation for the place that they're visiting. As they say: When in Rome, do as the Romans do -- and that means properly asking for cacio e pepe when ordering up your daily dose of pasta.
